The Home of Bromic Gas Heaters – South Africa
The Bromic Gas Supaheat II has been given a 5,9 out of 6 star Energy efficiency rating in both Australia and New Zealand. This rating provides for very high heat output in relation to gas consumption, meaning lower running costs
Gas heaters typically are typically considered more environmentally friendly. The heater’s ignition is battery operated, unlike some heaters which may require a plug connection and can be a challenge with extension cords etc.

What should you look for when considering a gas heater?
Always ensure that any gas heater you buy, has real safety features in place. These include automatic cut off, tip over sensors and oxygen sensors.
Some of Bromic Gas Heaters safety features include:
- Flame Failure Safety Device – If the flame is extinguished for any reason, the gas supply will shut off automatically.
- Safety Tilt Switch – If the unit gets knocked over or tilted, the heater will turn off automatically.
- Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS) Safety Device – If the normal air oxygen content in the room is reduced below a safe level, the ODS pilot shuts off the heater.
If you want to use your portable gas heater in different rooms, be sure to opt for a lightweight heater or choose a model that can be easily de-tached from 1 gas plug point and re-attached to another, using a quick release valve, installed by your registered installer.
Match the heat output of the heater to the size of the room you want to heat. Choosing a gas heater that is designed for large rooms and placing it in a confined space, for example, will be a waste of energy and money.
