How to use Bromic Supaheat II Gas Heater

Ensure correct model Supaheat II has been purchased depending on what gas is supplied to the property. Check any warnings in the instruction manual to make sure that the heater is safe to be used. Do not place the heater on any uneven surface. Ensure adequate ventilation to the room and around the heater.

Check gas heater has a “C” size 1.5V battery. Ensure the room you want to use the heater in has a Bromic quick release valve installed. Plug the bayonet fitting at the end of the hose into the quick release valve on the wall. Check for gas leaks.

Hold down the red “on/off” button for 10 seconds. You should hear the clicking noise of the ignitor. The heater should spark and gradually light the tiles.

If heater does not light, repeat step 2. Repeat no more than 3 times and wait 30-seconds
between attempts.

To light the second row of tiles, press the black button in for “high” heating mode. To turn the heater off, push the red “on/off” button and it will lift up and shut the gas off.

To turn the heater off, push the red “ON/OFF” button down. This will cause the “PILOT/IGN” button to lift up. Ensure heater has turned off.

Warranty

Some gas heater brands offer a warranty only if you get your heater checked at least once a year, others recommend it just to keep your appliance in tip top shape! However it is always good to follow a basic maintenance schedule and then service your heater periodically. In South Africa every 2 – 3 years should suffice.

Always check your heaters’ / brands’ warranty guidelines – some brands may invalidate the warranty if not serviced regularly. Some, such as the warranty for a Bromic Gas Heaters, will be invalidated the if the unit has been tampered with by a third party, during the warranty period.

Bromic Gas offer a 12 month warranty. We warranty that the heater will free from any defects or faults in the materials and/or workmanship. Please check with your installer whether your warranty is based on you taking your appliance to a service centre.
